You can easily size the images, scale them, and annotate them with circles, squares, arrows, text and more. Skitch is a tool for taking screenshots and sharing them. Third-party applications like Adium and Tweetie use Growl to send messages. It just pops up a diffident little notification that goes away on its own for a couple of seconds if I don't do anything with it. Growl doesn't grab focus from my mouse and keyboard and demand my attention. For example, Growl notifies me when I get a new instant-message or tweet.
Growl is a centralized way of handling notifications on the Mac. It's much more stable on the Mac than Firefox ever was. I've been using this as my primary browser for a few weeks, since the developer version for the Mac started to support a bookmark manager and extensions.

Tapping Pastebot’s Filters menu allows you to make changes to images, such as adjusting the brightness, changing saturation levels, or converting the image to black and white.
This, is a very nice feature that’s far less expensive than any of the full-on clipboard apps you’ll find for your Mac. Open Pastebot on your iPhone or iPod touch and cruise your Mac, the Web, or any other application copying and cutting everything you want to keep, and Pastebot sucks it all in like a high-tech vacuum cleaner.
